#Curriculum Overview
Science Oasis International School follows an American curriculum based on the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). Our curriculum covers national subjects like Arabic Language, Islamic Education, and Social Studies, integrated with science subjects following the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). English and Mathematics are taught according to CCSS. We also emphasize 21st-century skills essential for the future workforce. Our school is currently undergoing the Cognia accreditation process.

# Support & Care
We are dedicated to providing support, care, and protection for our students. Our recruitment practices follow international child protection standards. The hiring process includes multiple interviews, identity verification, criminal record checks, and academic qualifications verification to ensure compliance with child protection measures.
# Attendance and Punctuality
# Attendance
- Students must attend school daily unless sick, attending a family funeral, or having a court or hospital appointment.
- Early departure requires prior notification from a parent or guardian.
- After an absence, a letter from the guardian explaining the reason, along with a medical excuse or doctor's note, must be submitted to the class leader.
- Students must complete any missed assignments during their absence.
# Punctuality
- Students are responsible for being on time for classes.
- Late arrivals will result in end-of-day detention.
# School Doctor Visits
- Students can visit the doctor during classes with written permission from the teacher, except in emergencies.
- If the doctor decides the student needs to go home or to the hospital, the guardian will be contacted.
# Valid Reasons for Absence Include:
- Illness
- Family death
- Religious holidays
- Family emergencies or other uncontrollable circumstances (determined by the Stage Management Office)
- School-sponsored field trips
- Legal or medical appointments
# Kindergarten
# Nursery Stage
Our nursery and kindergarten occupy a wide space, with child-friendly buildings and equipment surrounded by gardens and play areas. The nursery caters to children from one month to 3 years, managed by trained staff and supervised by childhood and kindergarten specialists. We provide health and educational services to support all aspects of child development.
# Kindergarten Stage
We offer a bilingual (Arabic-English) in addition to the CCSS programs for children aged 3-5 years, focusing on comprehensive and integrated experiences, including language development through Quran memorization and some other activities and skills.
# Preliminary Stage
For children aged 5-6 years, the introductory stage prepares them for first grade with experiences and skills based on the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and NGSS.
# Kindergarten Programs:
- Language development through Quran memorization and reading programs.
- Use of technology to support learning and enrich experiences.
- Development of leadership and social skills through various activities.
- Activities to nurture talent and creativity, including morning assemblies, projects, drama, and closing ceremonies.
# Educational System
We adopt the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) and NGSS to guide our children's learning outcomes, while also connecting them with their culture and society through activities such as field trips and open days.
